Transdermal Glucosamine Cream - FAQs

What is glucosamine?

Glucosamine is one of the primary building blocks of cartilage and is essential for maintenance of healthy cartilage. It also results in the stimulation of synovial fluid production, which lubricates and cushions our joints. It is considered one of the safest and most effective supplements for the maintenance of healthy joints. As we grow older, our body loses the capacity to produce sufficient glucosamine causing thinning of cartilage and eventually degeneration of joints.

What is cartilage?

Cartilage is the shock-absorbing, gel-like material that protects the bones at the joints. Healthy cartilage cushions the impact of bones and enables us to move about painlessly.

What makes our Transdermal Glucosamine cream different from other products?

OurTransdermal Glucosamine cream is a topically applied product. Compared to other products taken orally, they are safer and causes less complications. Using a unique technology, the active ingredients sink deeper into the skin achieving a long lasting effect. This makes it 8.89 times more effective than with an oral dose.

Who can use our Transdermal Glucosamine cream?

Transdermal Glucosamine cream is an effective pain relief that is ideal choice for any one suffering from joint pain, movement discomfort, arthritis pain and pain due to osteoarthritis.

as wear and tear of the cartilage is a natural occurrence that happens to everyone at all ages, we encourage you to use TGC for the maintenance of healthy joints now.

Children and women who are pregnant should seek doctor's advise before taking glucosamine. As they have not been studied long enough to determine their effects on a child or on a developing fetus. If pregnant, nursing or diabetic, please seek doctor’s advice. Keep away from children.

Because glucosamine is an amino sugar, people with diabetes should seek doctor's advise and check their blood sugar levels more frequently when taking glucosamine.

How do I apply Transdermal Glucosamine cream?

Cleanse, rinse and dry skin prior to application. Apply approximately 2-3cm of cream evenly on joint area per application, and message gently until the cream disappears. Do not rub or massage vigorously. Use once to twice daily for minimum of 4 weeks. Please allow a few minutes for the cream to be absorbed into the skin before covering skin area with your clothes.

If you use TGC High Strength Plus Capsaicin, please avoid touching your eyes or any mucous membranes, and wash your hands after each application.

Is our Transdermal Glucosamine cream safe?

This product is virtually free of all side effects and there are no known contra-indications. Its main ingredient, Glucosamine, is an amino sugar that is produced naturally by our body. It is not an anti-inflammatory drug.

How long will a bottle of Transdermal Glucosamine cream last?

A bottle of pain relief cream will last the average user for 1 month.

How soon can I see the results?

For individuals who apply TGC on weight-bearing joints such as knees or ankle joints, it will take around 1 – 3 months to see effects when used twice daily as recommended.

For individuals who apply TGC on non-weight bearing joints such as the fingers and wrists, it takes around two weeks when used twice daily as recommended.

The time required to see effects is attributed to factors such as severity of joint damage, duration of suffering and the recommended (proper) usage of the cream. Results may vary from individual to individual.

I have sensitive skin. Can I use TGC?

For individuals with sensitive skin, please first apply a small amount and skin rashes usually appear within 1-2 days If rashes occur after some time, we advise you to stop using TGC on the affected area for one month. Thereafter, to continue enjoying the benefit of TGC, chill the cream in the refrigerator and apply TGC onto different skin area in rotation.

However, if condition persists, please discontinue using the cream.

Can I apply TGC while consuming glucosamine orally?

Yes, you may continue taking oral glucosamine if you wish to. We urge you to use TGC to discover its benefits as compared to consuming glucosamine orally.

How to choose a quality glucosamine product?

The method of delivery of glucosamine into the body can make the difference between no pain relief and complete pain relief. Simply put, the higher quality and concentration of glucosamine you use, the greater your relief will be. The product effectiveness (amount of glucosamine that actually gets to the affected joints and cartilage) and ease of use are some of the factors that you need to take into consideration before purchasing any glucosamine product. Our product contains industry's highest concentration (10% w/w) of glucosamine sulphate. Together with our special formulated transdermal cream, it can deliver large amount of glucosamine directly on the affected area making it 8.89 times more effectively than with an oral dose.

What are the advantages of using tropical cream as compared to taking oral pills?

Oral intake of glucosamine is subjected to metabolic breakdown by our enterophepatic system. Typically, less than 5% of orally consumed glucosamine effectively reaches the blood. Glucosamine, applied tropically, is more capable of providing high concentrations of glucosamine directly to the affected joints and cartilage. Apart from inconveniences, high oral dosage intake of glucosamine may cause gastritis, nausea, diarrhea, indigestion and heartburn in some individuals.

How safe is Glucosamine Sulphate?

Glucosamine is an amino sugar that is produced naturally by our body. It is not an analgesic or an anti-inflammatory drug. It is virtually free of all side effects and there are no known contra-indications. There are no proven side-effects of glucosamine on fetal development yet. However, because further research into glucosamine's effect on fetal development has not yet been established, we would advice pregnant women to seek further medical advise from a doctor. People with diabetes should also consult their doctors before using glucosamine. It is, after all, a sugar.
